Department of ICT
The responsibilities of the ICT Department include:- Liaison between the ministry or agency and the Ministry of Communications and Technology
- Registration and maintenance of all ICT equipment in the department or agency
- Collection of ICT status data from the Ministry or Agency.
- Submit a quarterly report to the Ministry of Communications and Technology on the status and ICT status of the Ministry or Agency.
- Prepare an annual / Five Year Plan to guide the ICT department.
- Referral to the Ministry of Communications and Technology for any Technology or System Requirements required by the Ministry or Agency, for the advice of the Ministry of Communications and Technology.
- Refer to the Ministry of Communications and Technology all Technology agreements, agreements and preliminary agreements entered into by the Ministry or Agency with the Service Providers.
- Prepare the required Guidelines and Guidelines for the new ICT resources purchased by the ministry or agency and submit them to the Ministry of Communications and Technology for advice.
- Preparation of ICT equipment required by the Ministry or Agency and the operating budget of the department.
- Testing and recommending all new ICT resources that the Ministry or Agency joins.
- Train all staff of the ministry or Agency for the efficient use of ICT resources.
- Identify and resolve any ICT issues with the department or agency.
- Prepare and recommend the Systems required by the department or agency to the Ministry of Communications and Technology for approval or modification.
- Preparing and recommending the structure of the network of the ministry or agency and any changes to be made to the network.
- All Systems made to a government ministry or agency will be submitted to the Ministry of Communications and Technology for approval or amendment.
- All technology equipment required by a ministry or government agency will be submitted to the Ministry of Communications and Technology for approval or modification.
